Burlington-Edison head football coach Bruch Shearer has been with the program for nine years.  Coach Shearer teaches Weight Training and Sports Medicine.  The coach was an All-Northern California nose guard at Bella Vista High School and played for Humboldt State University.  Last season, he guided the 12-2 Tigers to the 2A Championship game.

"38 years."

2.“What is your favorite part about coaching?”
"The Strategy."

3.“What players or teams (offense, defense, special teams) are you expecting big things from this season?"
"Offense, we have three running backs retuning and defense will return six."

4.“Who, or what, do you see as your main competition next season?”
"Lynden, Bellingham, squalicum,Anacortes and other northwest teams the conference is tough."

5."What has been your most defining moment as a head football coach?"
"When you win a big game and you see the look in everyone’s eyes."

6."What was the most rewarding event of last season?"
"Winning our Homecoming game vs. Lynden."

7.“What is the hardest part of coaching?”
"The Paperwork."

8.“Who do you consider to be your role model?”
"My 8th grade PE coach."

9.“What is your favorite hobby outside of sports?”
Remodeling."

10.“Do you have a pre-game routine, and if so, what is it?”
"Yes, I do the same thing always when we win. Always ends with a silent prayer."

"They had fun. They learned the game. They will always strive to be an Eleven!"
